Social media platform, Facebook has taken a big action on Pakistani actions against India. About 103 pages, 78 groups and 453 accounts and 107 Instagram accounts have been suspended by Facebook. Anti-India posts were posted extensively through these Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Many other accounts are being investigated after this
Facebook said that on its behalf the accounts of 3 such networks were used, which used to operate many Facebook accounts from Pakistan according to the report of Coordinator in-Authentic Behavior (CIB). All the posts of these accounts were against India. On behalf of Facebook, it was said that a report was received from the local authority about these accounts, after which they were investigated. The company said that many other such accounts are also being investigated.
Posts Were Anti-India
These accounts were using urdu, english, punjabi and Hindi language to post against India. The posts wererelated to Indian politics and other matters. Most of these posts were against the policy of India and China, against the Indian Army. At the same time, large-scale criticism of the Government of India was posted. There were more than 70 thousand followers of these accounts. There were some social media pages and groups whose user base was close to 1.1 million. Many Facebook posts on these accounts praised Pakistani nationalist content, as well as Pakistan’s spy agency ISI and Pakistan’s ruling party PTI. All were fake accounts running on the theory of anti-India and they were operated from Pakistan. Some of these pages were also operated from India.
